Graffiti pieces are my favourite things to draw when I’m looking for something to exercise my creativity. I can draw them back to back and never get tired.
Now with digital drawing aids, playing with colours and different styles is no longer a barrier, shout-outs to Letrasets and Touch pens for the wild renders in the past.
Now painting them IRL is some I’ve not itched in over a decade… maybe that’s something for the future.
Blotting Stones (2021)
Blotting Stones was an idea back in 2016, at the time I drew it in Illustrator and then tried to animate it with a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop. That turned out to a jumpy animation as seen here: ‘Blotting Stones (2016)’
Here’s my re-attempt at this in 2021 using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. The full size version is 4K.
